Delete your account
Permanent and free. Takes less than a minute.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
The quickest way is to delete directly from the Nivra app on your iPhone:
- Open the Nivra app.
- Tap the Account tab at the bottom.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted.
- Your account and all data will be deleted immediately.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed, or can't access your account for any reason, email us and we'll process your request manually:
- Send an email to hello@trynivra.app.
- Use the subject line "Account deletion request".
- Include the email address associated with your Nivra account so we can locate it.
- If you signed up with Sign in with Apple and don't remember which email was shared, include your full name so we can help identify the account.
We will confirm the deletion via reply within 48 hours and complete the removal within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your email address and any name you provided.
- All onboarding preferences (age range, goals, allergens, dietary info).
- Your entire scan history.
- Your favorites, saved meals, and grocery list.
- All AI chat messages you've sent.
- Your streak, achievements, and any tracked eating-quality data.
- Any premium subscription state tied to your account.
What about my subscription?
If you have an active Nivra Pro subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel it. You must cancel separately through Apple:
- Open iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
- Tap Nivra → Cancel Subscription.
This ensures you're not charged for a subscription tied to a deleted account. Apple handles all subscription refunds directly — contact Apple Support if you need a refund.
Backups and retention
We keep encrypted backups on a rolling 90-day window. After deletion, your data is removed from live systems within 30 days and fully purged from backups within an additional 90 days, per industry standard practice.
Anonymous crash reports and aggregate analytics contain no personal information and may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.

If you're deleting because of a bug or missing feature, we'd love to hear why first. We might be able to fix it. Email hello@trynivra.app before deleting and we'll respond within 24 hours.
