Terms of Use

1. Agreement to these terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Nivra mobile application ("Nivra," "the app," "we," or "us"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Nivra. We may update them occasionally — we'll notify you in the app if we do, and continued use means you accept the updated terms.
2. Who can use Nivra
You must be at least 13 years old to use Nivra. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian read these terms with you.
You may not use Nivra if you've been previously banned, if using the app would violate any law in your jurisdiction, or if you're on a US or international sanctions list.
3. Not medical advice
If you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions that affect what you can eat, always verify ingredients directly with the product manufacturer and consult your doctor or dietitian. Product formulations change over time, and our data may not always reflect the current version of a product.
Nivra's health scores, AI analysis, and recommendations are opinions generated from available data — not medical guidance. Use your own judgment.
4. Your account
When you create a Nivra account, you're responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure.
- All activity that happens under your account.
- Providing accurate information during sign-up.
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our systems.
5. Subscription and payments
Nivra Pro subscription
Nivra offers an optional Pro subscription that unlocks unlimited scans, full AI analysis, and premium features. Subscription pricing is displayed in the app at the point of purchase.
- Billing: All subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. We do not handle your payment information directly.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
- Cancellation: You can cancel any time in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Nivra. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple. Contact Apple Support directly for refund inquiries.
- Free trial: If we offer a free trial, you will not be charged during the trial period, but you must cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
Price changes
We may change subscription prices. If we do, we'll notify you in advance. Price changes take effect at your next billing cycle and you can cancel before then if you disagree.
6. What you can and can't do
You may:
- Use Nivra for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Scan products, ask the AI questions, track your eating quality, and share scan results with friends.
- Delete your account and data at any time.
You may not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code.
- Scrape, automate, or abuse our API (including the AI chat feature).
- Use Nivra to build a competing product or aggregate our scoring data.
- Upload or transmit viruses, malicious code, or content that violates any law.
- Impersonate anyone else or misrepresent your affiliation with Nivra.
- Use Nivra in any way that could harm the service, other users, or third parties.
7. User content
When you type messages in our AI chat, save notes, or submit feedback, that content belongs to you. By submitting it, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the Nivra service — nothing more. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not use it to train AI models.
8. Intellectual property
Nivra, the Nivra logo, the "know what you really eat" tagline, the scoring system, and all app design elements are owned by Nivra and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reuse any of our branding without written permission.
Product names, brand names, and barcodes shown in Nivra belong to their respective owners. We display them for identification purposes under nominative fair use.
9. Third-party content
Nivra displays product information from third-party databases including Open Food Facts, FatSecret, and others. We do our best to keep this data accurate, but we can't guarantee it's complete or up to date. Always verify critical information (especially allergens) directly with the manufacturer.
10. Disclaimers
Nivra is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
- Health scores or AI responses are accurate, complete, or reliable.
- The app is suitable for your specific dietary, medical, or health needs.
- Product data is always current — formulations change.
11. Limitation of liability
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Nivra harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the app, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
13. Termination
You can stop using Nivra at any time by deleting the app and your account. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we terminate your account for cause, you will not receive a refund for any unused subscription time.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Nivra is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
15. Apple App Store additional terms
Because Nivra is distributed through Apple's App Store, the following additional terms apply:
- These terms are between you and Nivra, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Nivra or its content.
- Your license to use Nivra is limited to devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
- Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Nivra.
- If Nivra fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price. Apple has no further warranty obligation.
- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and has the right to enforce them against you.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and notify you in the app if the changes are material. If you keep using Nivra after an update, you're accepting the new terms.
